Visitation Policy

I. PURPOSE It is the policy of Jubilee Home Assisted Living to welcome visitors and to provide a safe and secure environment for all residents and their visitors. Jubilee Home Assisted Living recognizes the importance of family and social interaction and the role it plays in supporting each individual’s emotional well-being during their stay. Visitation is considered a routine and essential part of the resident care program. This policy is established to support resident rights while ensuring the health, safety, and privacy of all individuals within the facility. All visitation practices are guided by the facility’s commitment to dignity, service, and trust, ensuring that residents feel respected, families feel welcomed, and interactions are conducted in a safe and supportive environment. II. POLICY In accordance with Florida Statute 429.28, residents have the right to receive visitors of their choosing, to refuse visitation, and to have visits conducted in a manner that respects their privacy and dignity. Jubilee Home Assisted Living will support flexible visitation and will not impose unreasonable restrictions. General visiting hours are established for operational purposes; however, visitation remains resident-directed. III. PROCEDURE A. Visiting Hours 1. General visiting hours are 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. 2. Residents may receive visitors outside of these hours upon request. 3. Staff will make reasonable accommodations to support resident preferences. B. Visitor Access 1. Visitors are permitted in resident rooms with resident consent and in designated common areas. 2. Staff shall ensure that visits do not interfere with care or the rights of other residents. 3. Privacy and dignity shall be maintained at all times. C. Visitor Responsibilities 1. Visitors must sign in upon arrival. 2. Visitors shall follow infection control and safety practices. 3. Visitors must respect resident rights, staff instructions, and facility operations. 4. The facility may limit or terminate visitation if behavior presents a safety risk or disrupts the environment. 846 NW 84 th Lane, Coral Springs, FL 33071 D. Infection Control 1. Visitation practices may be modified based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Florida Department of Health. 2. Measures may include screening, hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment, or temporary limitations as necessary. E. End-of-Life Visitation 1. Residents receiving end-of-life care may have visitors at any time. 2. The facility will support family presence and provide a compassionate environment. F. Limitations 1. Any limitation on visitation must be based on health, safety, or the protection of resident rights. 2. Restrictions shall be reasonable, non-discriminatory, and applied on an individual basis. 3. Limitations shall not be more restrictive than necessary. G. Staff Responsibilities 1. The Administrator shall ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. 2. Staff shall support resident visitation rights and maintain a safe environment. 3. Staff shall communicate respectfully with residents and visitors at all times. H. Documentation 1. A visitor sign-in log shall be maintained. 2. Any significant visitation concerns or restrictions shall be documented in accordance with facility policy. IV.
